Actually, Deion was committed long before coach Littrell & co got here.

True, however this group had to keep him committed as SMU, Army, and ULM came in and wanted his services. They also had to determine if they wanted to keep the offer or pull it. Obviously they saw the same thing the last staff did Speed, however where they were planning to use him could be the difference in evaluations.

Speed kills at the college level. Makes all the difference
