I think the ladies deserve a thread that isn't started after the game has already begun. Big game at The Pit at 2pm today in a battle for first place!6 points

Exactly. This was one missed. He did again. I love how this post aged. Another missed call. To be fair, it did at home against SMU. Yes, exactly, I don't think most on here are really mad about overall how the game was called, but the timing of WHEN the refs start to call things they didn't before. Just like in SMU, for some reason, when the game is on the line they get whistle happy.6 points

Not a lot to be upset about after that one except the final score. Great game. Great atmosphere. Put on a show on national TV for the second game in a row. Get em in the return game.6 points

We had better pull out ALL the stops to have a huge crowd on hand for their trip to Denton.6 points

Davis is a potential All-American for a reason. It feels like every time we play the Owls we coulda/shoulda. The fact that we never do says as much about them as us. Gotta just tip your cap to them.6 points

If we could pick how a first half would go defensively….thats what we would’ve picked. gotta do it for 20 more minutes.6 points

Brandon Jackson has been the passing game coordinator at Lovejoy for a while. Yes, the same Brandon Jackson that was one of the key wide receivers at UNT during Dodge’s watch (and featured in the video below). I hope Dodge keeps him on staff.6 points

Agreed. I don’t think the game was called poorly; however sometimes it only takes one call to turn the tables. The missed out of bounds call led to 3 points instead of a chance for a 5 point swing. Kills momentum.5 points

That's because we were, particular Davis getting any whistle he wanted. Meanwhile, Allen can catch an elbow requiring stitches and officials are gagging on their whistle. The block call on Walker was BS, too. Our guy was set. Their guy, Vladimir 🇷🇺, committed to bulldozing whatever in his way and he gets the and 1 block call. BS. The out of bounds called on UNT late in the 1st half where the official just guessed and gave the ball back to FAU for an inbound play 3 for Davis...all the while the ball clearly being out on FAU. Official didn't ask for help, didn't do a anything. Side note: I'd like Ross to get a little more animated during BS games like this one.5 points

UNT turned a 17-14 deficit after one to a 40-30 halftime lead. Blazers cannot stop us inside, Kernal has 20 points already.4 points

Less annoyed at this loss than at the LSU, Fordham and St Johns losses. Its a ranked team getting home cooking on their home floor. Also they still have to go to Denton.4 points

Noland and Golden both pushing off… Golden gets that home cooking. Both were pushing equally… should have let them play out the possession.4 points

On a side note: Its nice to be on ESPN2 rather than some channel only streamers care about. Also not minding seeing Grant McCasland during the break4 points

I feel like if we can do a similar job defensively in the second, we'll score enough to win.4 points

I mean gee whiz guys, they are up two on the road at the half against a top 25 team. You all make it sound like we are struggling.4 points

I will be the first to admit that I am no basketball guru. I really didn't learn much about the game until I started watching the Mean Green, but Edwards seems to not be a great ball handler. He loses the ball so much.4 points

Seems very high. Bulletin board material. Ready for our guys to turn it into a rock fight.4 points

That is what they offered Chandler Morris. He had another 6 figure Mountain West offer but it came with a car as well. It came directly from Chandler. I am fairly confident it is accurate.4 points

Have we really gotten that lazy in society that we can't take an extra 20 seconds and read back what we wrote to make sure it looks right? Maybe I am getting old, or maybe it's an OCD thing, just seems like it doesn't require THAT much more time. I don't really care for the most part, but just me yelling at the clouds.4 points

I have watched more games this year than in all previous years combined. This is a fun team to watch, plays hard, plays together, hustles and never gives up. One of the best moments today was Kernal celebrating taking a charge by running down the court and chest bumping Coach Burton.3 points

I'm not saying the game was terribly called but as others have pointed out, it doesn't take much to make an impact. In a close game like this, a single bad call can impact the game. With how physical these teams play, it's just incredible that a team can go an entire game committing only two shooting fouls and zero fouls when the other team is in the bonus. They must be the most disciplined group of college athletes to ever exist.3 points
-
Another solid win 87-72 against the Blazers. Burton also claims most wins as a first year coach at 17 for the program.3 points

The other thing to consider is if we would have had as good a look as Buggs did. We don't always get good looks in half court situations like that. Bottom line is if Buggs makes it, we're saying great shot and I like our chances of denying them a good look at a three at the end of the game. This is a tough team and one that deserves the support of the students and alumni. GMG!3 points

Well, back to back nationally televised games where the announcers have spoken about the toughness of the mean green and how good of a team we are. The rest will catch on.3 points

Walkers feet were set…. Even under the “new rule” that’s a charge to me. He couldn’t be much for set he was practically waiting when Golden got the ball….3 points

I didn't see his full interview, but I assume it was done beforehand and not actually live, which would have made it difficult to talk about anything related UNT.3 points

You do have a point. Spelling rarely overshadows the quality of one's content. Having said that, it does, in some cases, affect credibility--makes it seem like there wasn't a lot of thought/fact checking involved (whether that's the case or not) before spewing forth a post. Also (and I'll acknowledge here that this is probably an exaggerated concern), I sometimes wonder if our players question how serious our fanbase really is when they peruse this site and see that even the most dedicated fans aren't sure of our star players' names. Not trying to call anyone out...typos happen to all of us on occasion. Just some random thoughts here...3 points
