He congratulated him on the offer. They both have been pretty busy getting ready for their respective playoff games. I would see it as a very positive indication that he is still committed to UNT. Kade and his parents are very smart people and will make the decision that is best for their family. That’s all we can ask for. We want what is best for each of the athletes in this class and only wish everyone the best. Christian and the rest of the commits seem to be very close and that is gonna be hard to unravel in these very short weeks before signing day.13 points

If we could possibly land Miles and Houston this class would look remarkably like the 2011 class with Williams, Jones & Robinson, all being top 30 players in TX.4 points

Lee's skillset reminds me of Andy Blount from the DD years. Played TE but was more of a receiver than a blocker. Blount, for those of you that never saw him play, caught 50 passes for about 800 yards his Jr/Sr years combined and was a matchup nightmare for defensive coordinators. I see Christian Lee being that type of player. Excited for him to get to Denton.3 points

Yes. Are you not paying attention? Every game we win is because the other team sucks, and every game we lose is because we suck. Keep up, man.3 points

Absolutely. I loved in the English call, they called him the "touchdown machine." I used to be as far from a '9ers fan as can be, but I hope they do it this year because he has made some big contributions this year and they might not be potential Super Bowl contenders without some big plays he's made. '9ers twitter has a video of Kyle Juszczyk mic'd up and it was awesome to see how hyped they all got for him after that touchdown catch3 points

Lets see, our first 9 win season included getting bent over a chair twice by FAU and then in the NO by Troy. Our second 9 win season included a loss to that powerhouse team Old Dominion. It culminated with our usual position (bent over a chair) at the hands of Utah State in the NM bowl. In early November last year, I read this article...."Six College teams that nobody really wants to play right now". https://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2018/11/8/18064566/ucf-clemson-alabama-utah-state-michigan-iowa-state Here is the summary about Utah State from that article. 4. Utah State. The Aggies are a combination of two things no one wants a piece of: overdue and over. Utah State is overdue in the sense that injuries and bad luck limited their production in 2015 and 2016. Rollover points aren’t real, but they might be for Utah State, a team on an eight-game win streak in which they’ve averaged over 50 points a game and destroyed everything in their wake. They’re over in the sense that they are literally over, beating the spread by 13 points a game in 2018. Most of that is due to the players, but some credit should also go to offensive coordinator David Yost for his aggressive schemes, play calling, and hair. When I heard about our opponent in the NM bowl, it was an easy decision to just stay home and watch it on TV. Because I knew exactly how the game was going to end.......in typical SL-coached fashion.3 points

Just incredible highlights each week. He, as noted above, is going to be a mismatch nightmare. Plus throws up the talon from time to time. A great addition that is a great cheerleader for UNT.3 points

This thread took a weird turn with the Seth Littrell complaining...But @Withers940 is completely right. With all of the things Kade has said in the past. It’s just way more than a typical recruit. I think he wants to be here and I think he wants to be the face of this program moving to the next level. And we all want him to be that too.3 points

As an expectant daddy myself... congrats on a wonderful miracle. Easy to lose sight of the fact that these are people with family.3 points

FSU - 120th in sacks allowed at 37. UNT - 37th in sacks allowed at 16. This ^^^^^^ has turned into a theme in Tallahassee. He would be running for his life there as well.3 points

Wow! They must have quite a contractor if they’re gonna build all of those “on Thursday”.3 points

Fine doesn’t play on defense. But hey,...whatever excuse it takes to help yourself get over it is ok by me. Rick2 points

No....the game was over from the first play when they hit us on a 75 yard wheel route for 6, and our defense were all looking at each other like it’s everyone else’s fault,....confirming several of our fans greatest fear from the week before while reading about the coaches convention in New York and the K State bullshit,....that this was going to be another unprepared team. And it was. My only regret was that I didn’t walk to the car and head back to Texas then. Rick2 points

From what I observed in my travels with the team, southern schools (Alabama, LSU, Troy, LaTech, USM, Lafayette and even Monroe) do Homecoming right. UNT??? I guess I was as confused as the most of the "court" was....2 points

My man, just like in the old SBC days... we can only play the teams on our schedule. If we win 9 games (no matter who we play), that, in my opinion, is a SUCCESS.2 points

I'm happy to report that your hindsight appears to be 20/20 Silver! The game was competitive (7-14) until Fine went out the first time. Did you also stay home since you knew Fine would be out for 3 quarters? Did you stay home because you knew your favorite QB was gonna spell him with 3 INTs? EDIT: <This is not just Silver> NT fans are probably better than any other fans in FBS at cannibalizing our successes & highlighting our failures.2 points

Yes, but we're also supposed to fret and assume that we lost a commit whenever a P5 school offers. It's the UNT way.2 points

Rick -- you're doing a bit at this point, right? It's gotta be. There's no other explanation for continuing to resurrect this thread to tell us what a football genius you are. Now if you picked 4-6 at this point for North Texas, come start a thread about being Nostradamus. Thx. P.S. I'm not a genius. I had us at 9-4.2 points

Because of the same broken record style. Every post in every thread is the same. I am not sure where you get that anyone is ok with this season’s failure. But almost no one is ready to burn everything down. And certainly no one else but you has to post the same critique over and over, as if posting on a message board is the final piece of the puzzle that will get NT to the next level.2 points

Interestingly, Decatur beat five teams during the regular season who are playing in the second round this week. They’ve had a good run this year. Rick2 points

I learned today that foreign aid had also been withheld from Honduras and Lebanon at the same time. Lebanon STILL hasn’t gotten their aid! I for one am really upset about it. I mean...we are not doing our moral duty! We have got to get that guy out of office so we can go back to the way it was. He’s so uncouth!2 points

This young man has been kind of quiet since his team had a rough season, but as noted above, he runs a 4.43 40 and also has picked up offers from Utah and Texas State since his commitment. Also shows an offer from Memphis. Our WR position is going to be extremely deep.2 points

Like I said before. If he wants to be here, great. If not, good luck with your future endeavors. I will never bad mouth a recruit. However, I do think lil'Briles is a piece of work.2 points

ACC v CUSA argument doesn't really hold weight. Both teams are playing peer programs and the results are what they are.2 points

Until he says other wise, Kade's coming here and he's going to lead us to a CUSA Championship with his fellow recruits! Kade and Christian both mentioned that they want to be the first 4 star recruits at UNT so that why I believe he's here to stay2 points

Been a busy year for me so I've been missing out on a lot of GMG time and I- Wow. What. A. Thread. Congratulations, I think? Couldn't be more proud about clinging so strongly to something that no one else cares about. But if you gonna get one thing right, might as well hang onto it. That's how strong marriages are built.2 points

Why is it that as a fan base we assume a kid couldn't possibly get an offer from FSU and still sign with us? We have a lot to offer. Great facilities, close to home, a coaching staff he obviously built a relationship with. Opportunity to start from day 1 with Mason graduating. He has said that he wants to leave a legacy at North Texas. Out practicing with other commits. Et cetera. I'm hopeful that we look back on this as a monumental moment for the program when an elite quarterback, with many options, chose to come play in Denton.2 points

Crap! Kade, don't do it! It’s unamerican to leave the state of Texas to play college football.2 points

Wish they would give him a legitimate chance. He has produced for them in very limited playing time.2 points

Like... a prayer? Before the game? Why would we do that? I think I see the players having their individual prayer time. You can pray up in the stands on your own time. You think a prayer is giving LT their 8-1 record?1 point

They can have them at my company as long as they are covered up. It is not a professional look, so ink up and pierce away, but don't blame others when you can't get hired.1 point

Another subject that ask the question (and yes, you have EVERY right in the world to do what you want to yourself) - Is it OK to say that other "have to" accept what you do or they are "wrong". They might feel the same way about you, that you are wrong. Does not make one opinion wrong, just make for different sides.1 point
