Since everybody else in the West already has 1 loss, it comes down to two scenarios: 1) Beat FAU and sweep UTEP/Rice, we win the division 2) Lose to FAU and sweep UTEP/Rice, we will probably need to beat LaTech if they don't lose another conference game because they will get the heads up tie breaker. This weekend matters. A whole bunch. We win this weekend, the goal is in sight, in hand. Then we start talking what it takes to host the game.10 points

This is a "FAN" board. Why can't we have some fun by looking ahead? It's not like we're playing tomorrow.8 points

Memphis has been good for a few years. Especially offensively. I wonder if Dickey will ever get another shot as HC. I'll always have a soft spot for DD and root for him.5 points

My personal opinion, Kiffin is a snake who only cares bout himself, Littrell actually cares bout where he is at.5 points

Here let me give you something else to chew on....His family sits in the stands with his jersey on and they sit during the national anthem! My personal opinion is kick him out of school, but I don't (and neither do you) know the details. If nothing else maybe he will learn that things can be taken away real quick so don't put yourself in these positions. I like how the article calls him a star receiver. He will be a non-factor Saturday. He has been practicing since the semester start. He is a practice star. But game day he's nothing. My forever lasting memory of him will be dropping a 4th down pass late against Marshal last year. He catches that, we win.5 points

SAVE THE DATE...this year's version of the UNT CHEER SCHOLARSHIP BASKETBALL GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON APRIL 14th of 2018. The even better news is, that after several years of trying, we have secured the Ken Bahnsen Gym...yes...the OLD MEN's GYM on W. Highland Street (just across W. Highland from the Super Pit... as our venue! Yes, Sir! A real basketball gym for the first time in what will be our 8th year! So, let's do this one up right....let's make it a special day and help these great student-athletes with some scholarship funds. Put the date on your calendars NOW so you can play...get your friends to come out and play or just come out and enjoy the fun, bid on a silent auction item or two, etc., etc. Besides players (and yes, this remains a co-ed event...so ladies????), the biggest need we have is actually getting folks to come watch and be part of the event. The more "fans" we have, the better we do with concessions and with the silent auction and with the 50/50 half-time shot hoop-la. Also...looking for sponsors for this year's event as well. If you know a business or an individual looking to help fund student-athlete scholarships, please let me know. I would be happy to chat with them. So, that's it for the early news. Save that date...APRIL 14th...and let's make this new venue rock!4 points

I believe Littrell, GH, and Wren know NT is a diamond in the rough with tremendous opportunity. Yes, similar to Patterson at TCU, building this program in a healthy way for long term success (Unlike Briles at Baylor or Kiffin at FAU). Littrell has talked about this numerous times, not being a one shot wonder type program. They will build this program like we haven’t seen before and will be honored later in life for doing so, similar to a Hayden Fry. I realize this is a very bold statement but hopefully this comes to fruition. #NewDenton4 points

Today, at an accounting firm, on the fall tax deadline day, I've had several conversations with people who not only heard about the UNT miracle drive, but claim to have either listened to it on the radio or watched it. Did we just get our first taste of "I was totes there" t-shirt fans?4 points

I had a few patients tell me they watched the game on Monday, It's fun talking about us.4 points

Ironic. When championship game parking passes were sent out with season tickets we fell flat. Now we are hot and parking passes are not. Never fails. GO MEAN GREEN4 points

YES!! ALL OF US NEED TO STAY FOCUSED!! WE HAVE A GAME TO PLAY IN MORE OR LESS 24 HOURS!!!3 points

That is the most accurate forecast I have seen. UNT's half of the field will be bright and sunny. FAU will be like the kid with the cloud over his head.3 points

Sorry, you have a whole regular season to do ticket specials and giveaways. You do not give away the tickets for the conference championship game, assuming we are even in it and host it.3 points

So, will the officer run routes beside him? Will they play with 10 players plus the officer or will they get a waiver and it will be 12 on 11. These questions must be answered. Kiffin and Briles are such high character. So glad we got SL instead of many that were wanting Lil' Briles.3 points

Screw this. Let's keep up with the fundraising, let SL build the program, make Denton his home and become our Gary Patterson.3 points

I can't believe anybody that has followed NT long, would overlook any team much less FAU. FAU seems to have a few also that don't seem to realize that they are going to face a good team Saturday. NT has beat three better conference teams than FAU has faced, but I am not sure if that is an advantage. I do like the looks of your stadium, Apogee is a great college venue; but a view of two major highways is not the same as the ocean. Good luck from Sunday on.2 points

That "good number" may be only a handful. I predicted a 10-pt game that will require max effort/focus by our guys.2 points

I grew up in Denton. That place might as well be LA when it comes to the “I’ll go if there is buzz and it’s fashionable” crowd. Dentonites don’t support the local high schools, until they are playing deep in the playoffs...then they come out in droves. If we host the CUSA Championship as a 8+ win team then we will get plenty of butts in seats.2 points

The key to this at this moment in time is this: The game at LA. Tech is the game that needs to be circled on the schedule. If we lose that game they own us in the tiebreaker. The game this weekend is important in the race to host the championship game. If we lose it does nothing to hurt our chances in the West other than eliminating our mulligan against all the teams not named LA. Tech. No matter what happens this weekend, if we beat LA. Tech and then run the table against ODU, Rice, and UTEP then we win the west.2 points

Yeah, I'd say the same thing if I thought the team I covered was going to lose.2 points
-
I think if we go into the Army game at 8-2 and they're 7-3 or 6-4 it could be the recipe for the first sellout at Apogee.2 points

I disagree. I think a conference championship game would be just what the doctor ordered. And what an opportunity to put a ton of money into our coffers!2 points

One of my favorite times with my 4-yr-old son was going to the Crawdad Boil @ East Side. He devoured those things & pet every dog around. He was on cloud 9. Very family friendly.2 points

Couldn't agree more. Not a fan of Kiffin at all...he just seems like such a sleezy used car salesman (with apologies to any used car salesmen reading this). I'm probably wrong on this because I know money talks, but I really feel like Littrell could be our Patterson. Man, how I hope I'm right.2 points
