I was wondering, since Rutherford seems pretty big, if he could be a guy we pack some weight on and move to tight end as a pass-catching threat like we did with Marcus Smith.

Also, you seem very in the know with regards to East Texas football. Keep us updated with these East Texas kids if you can. Very much appreciated.

Rutherford isn't the type to bulk up into a TE. He's 6-5 or 6-6, but his frame is too slight for the type of weight he would need to add, which would be about 70 pounds. He's much better suited to be a 205-pound mismatch on the outside. He's already a red-zone nightmare for DBs even at 180.

I'll try to share what I know in regards to ETx.
