Louisiana Tech passes on going to bowl?

So familiar to us turning down the same freaking bowl in the Hayden Fry years only to be left out in the cold.

Reason we turned it down? We didn't want to play the opponent (had already played them once that year).

The similiarities are eerily similiar.

And then we lost the best coach we ever had and went into obscurity for the next 35 years. Sonny Dykes--for sure--won't be in Ruston beyond the next few months. And, then, La Tech will probably get to enjoy all of their alums talking about the glorious Dykes years in the upcoming decades. Sadly, we know how this story goes...

Even moreso after the tech AD's "open letter", Fry was counting on his connection to another bowl to come through and had "talk to people" who assured him it would.

Didn't happen.

What a bunch of dumb shits turning down a bowl game. Let me guess they thought they would get a crack at Notre Dame. Memo to La Tech " You Suck" big time. So moving on how many of you UNT fans are coming to SA for the show down with UTSA? Come and tailgate with us. should be fun. No there won't be any KFC chicken. lol.

I will be there but I will write a strongly worded letter to the UTSA AD if I don't get some KFC. It will be fun either way.
