Maybe it's just been that I haven't handed out candy in years (mainly because we are rarely home on halloween) but tonight we went to some friends house over in Southridge to have dinner and hand out candy. I was amazed at the SHEER size of the drastic demographics of the people coming to get candy. It is probably not a stretch, and it maybe on the low side, but at the very least 90% of those who came by where Hispanics who didn't live in the neighborhood. Not only that, but out of those 90%, probably 20% of them were ADULTS with no costums, no "trick or treat", no "happy halloween", just simply a bad holding it open for candy. Amazing.

In addition to this, more than half of them never spoke one word in english. Not even a "Thank you." Quite shocking, but maybe I have been living under a rock.

This is why my mother quit giving out candy years ago. She said she'd hand it out this year, but she would turn away anyone without a costume or looking over the age of 15.

$5 bucks on the table that someone turns this into "Barack Obama is a baby-eating, Socialist Muslim Nazi" in 10 posts or less...

Jaydub...you did kinda push this thread in this direction on purpose...but based on previous knowledge I'm willing to bet it would've made it here by itself by now as well.

Why delay the inevitable?
