If you'll recall, when MUTS played Louisville the announcers said "Louisville is playing Middle Tennessee...FROM THE SUN BELT CONFERENCE" as if this made it all the more embarassing.

Now, in this Troy game after Troy recovers a fumble on the first play from scrimmage the announcer says "Now remember, these are officials from the Sun Belt conference...the same conference Troy plays in."

Pathetic.

The Belt rocks. This is just more good publicity. Like

"these guys are from the Bad*ss Conference. SEC eat yo hearts out!" and "Where can the Big XII get refs like these?"

I only wish you were right and that had been his tone of voice.

On another note, for those watching this game...notice that the name Dez Bryant keeps being called? Remember when we were all over this kid trying to get him to sign? Yet another that I wish we had pulled in.

I was just bitchin' about that to my wife. Really does sorta piss ya' off, don't it?

Because you know...when NT or any other school plays another conference's team and it has THEIR refs in it...NOTHING bad could ever come of it. What the hell.

We can't worry about who's ref-ing games rather it's our guys or the opponents. We as a conference have to take the next step and start winning ball games. Do we have games where the refs screw us yes but the refs don't take the games away from us. The Sun Belt is getting better and is starting to compete with BCS schools lets keep just getting better and go from there. GO TROY!

That was a great interview, and surprising props to Troy by Kirk Herbstreet, talking about how it doesn't surprise him that OKSU is getting beat in Troy, about how the last time ESPN came to that stadium they beat a ranked Missouri team, and that anytime anyone comes to Troy they had better be ready to play.

The Trojans are embarrassing the hell out of OkSt and the Big 12, and at 34-10, this game could and should be at least 48-10 if not more. This was a great night for the Belt.

North Texas had better find last years' defense, or any kind of defense before October 20th.

Someone explain how Troy winning a game helps us.

Conference gains respect.

The standard of AD's, presidents, chancellors, and fans for what is the acceptable standard for a program rises.

The MAC was a dump conference with zip for respect.

Marshall waltzes in kicks everyone's rear for a couple years and then next thing you know they're knocking off SEC, Big 12, ACC, and Big 10 schools.

Lucky these same ESPN broadcast fellers didn't call the Boise State/OU game... :rolleyes: They may have both had major strokes toward game's end. :lol: (Wonder if they even remember that Boise/OU score)? B)
