the NT Daily sure is dedicating alot of press to this thing.

Geeze, This absurdity gets worse. It even showed up on here:

http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa...l.5097e6ab.html

Mr. Zambrano said he is planning an informal memorial service during the noon hour Friday near the squirrel's home so students can mourn and share their own squirrel stories.

I love nature too but I am not going to sit around and morn for a skinny treeborn rabbit with a genetic mutation because it fufilled it's lot in nature - being food for carnivores. It wasn't some domesticated animal nor was it someone's pet.

People, this is a @#$#$@# squirrel, a furry rodent, a tree rat. It doesn't need a colletion or worshipers/fans/society to sway public opinion for some "squirrel rights" movement. Just think, a few parents are paying good money for their kids to go to college and get into squirrel organizations. Want a cause? join greenpeace, join the Sierra club, at lease understand nature and the natural order of things. Hell, even PETA has a better agenda than this stupidity.

It is crap like this that gives NT a bad rap.

According to Andy Hogue (what a tool):

"I remain confident that when another ghost of the trees appears on campus in future semesters, there will be a new generation of Eagles willing to take the albino squirrel under their wings,"

Yep, the talons usually are found somewhere under the wings. biggrin.gif

Okay, you've got quick reflexes and have just hit a squirrel.Take that su

cker and skin it, cut the head off and remove the internal organs. Cut

squirrel into pieces and add to chopped pork of equal amounts and saute i

t slowly until light brown in 1/4 cup shortening. Then remove from the pa

n. Use the squirrel and pork fat to brown 1/2 cup of chopped onions. Pu

t the squirrel, pork and onions in a stewing pot and add 2 cups of quarte

red tomatoes. 2 cups of lima beans. 1 cup of hot water. Cayenne to taste.

Simmer till squirrel and pork is just about tender and add 3 cups of

corn. 2 spoons of Worcestershire sauce and a cup of toasted bread crumbs.

Simmer for until completely tender..then there you are!!!

Perhaps it is more than a coincidence that a Hawk attacks the squirrel shortly after ULM changes their mascot to the WarHawk. the ASPS should place blame on theWarHawks. Perhaps they could have the Squirrel stuffed and mounted and could make the game against ULM the Battle for the Albino Squirrel to be awarded to the winner each year.

are you saying that a security detail could have stopped Katrina??

He's saying millions of Red Hawks, flapping thier wings in unison off the Gulf Coast, caused the hurricane. Payback for thousands of years of humanity encroaching on thier hunting grounds.

Once the "a bunch of patchouli smelling, two legged, rock throwers chased me off a prime squirrell kill" story gets backs to the Red Hawk High Council, I shudder to think of the repercussions. ohmy.gif
