So why don't they do that? If its laziness, that seems like the AD, administration, and BOR would do something about it. If they don't/won't, doesn't that tell you EVERYTHING about the apathy we fight? If they want to move up, like Wren Baker did, it would seem like basketball attendance would be an easy thing to move upward to get the attention of bigger programs.
UNT doesn't put forth any effort to let people know when they are playing to the students or the community, and the community isn't searching for the information. Right now, the AD and university should be capitalizing on the team's success but instead they are crapping the bed. Denton, the campus and the surrounding areas should be continually inundated with information.
the game was trash.
Prince is still the benchmark for halftime performances and will likely never be surpassed. And in terms of star power and entertainment value, the Dre/Snoop/MJB/Eminem/50/KDot performance from a few years ago probably has this covered…
but in terms of artistic authenticity, messaging…not to mention 80,000 singing along on a Grammy winning diss track…this was more culturally significant.
I knew you would play the race card. It's your M.O. The sound sucked and he appeals to a specific age demographic. Has nothing to do with his race.
I would prefer someone more widely liked or from New Orleans to show off their culture. Have Trombone Shorty or someone like that represent NOLA.
