DRC: UNT will be without two running backs, several key players today

They are fine backs when healthy but in their stead we saw BK Jackson and Preston Landis and each contributed a TD.  What a deep stable of running backs and it's hard to know who will break out in any game.  If we should get another head coach we need to put in his contract that he must retain Coach Cobbs.

So is this going to happen every week? That we find out we are missing a handful of key players 1 hour before kickoff?

Total shitshow.

That's how SL has always done it. The depth charts mean nothing, and players only drop off them if they've been confirmed out for the year.

The strategy definitely works to throw opponents off the scent!

Actually, Jackson did not score but I thought he looked good running the ball.  The real surprise to me was Landis.  Does Cobbs set the depth chart at RB?

Littrell is a RB guy.   He knows that position for sure, & can evaluate them well.
I'm sure Cobbs contributes, but I doubt he's the end-all.
