A Close Call?

We're lucky the season didn't end on this one play.  

Edit: I saw this from another angle and it appears Davenport has reached around Mason to strip the ball.  That would explain the twist of motion that brought his feet up.

As a former LB and DE.  He is just trying to make a tackle.   IMO

That play stands out to me as well. Then a bunch of OL jumped in on the pile (since the ball came out -- though clearly whistled dead)... and UNT ended up with an unsportsmanlike conduct call. It was all very crazy. Gave me puppy head.

Agree.  Game is happening too fast to try and make that sort of split second complicated plan.

Agree with that as well.  Those guys did have time to make a decision and decided to jump on late... and then we get a flag for trying to push them off Fine?  Crazy.

Gagree, i could have sworn i saw a defender jam an elbow into Fine's chest as he was sprawled out.
