  1. Great season, lost to number 6 or 7 team in the nation at their home field against one of the best pitchers around. Congrats to a great effort by maybe the best softball team ever at NT. Next season should be a blast.

  2. Cry me a river. I still say UTSA has the much harder schedule. they have Houston, Army, Texas, WKU, UAB, Tech UTEP. The only easy games they have are TSU, Rice, FIU and us.

  3. Admins, feel free to move this but I really wanted to get this in front of the biggest audience possible. On June 11th, I will be repelling off of a 6-story tower to raise money for the Children's Advocacy Center of North Texas. The money raised will support therapy sessions for children who are brave enough to come forward about abuse. I encourage everyone to click the link below and give! Children's Advocacy Center for North Texas, Inc. - Argyle Police Department's fundraiser (networkforgood.com) Also, if you are local, that same day my police department will be hosting our 2nd Annual Child Safety Fair. It is free and will include a LOT of activities, information, and giveaways to keep kids safe. https://fb.me/e/mKaHLkhsM

  4. Yes, leave the 2nd most prestigious football league in the world for something they may not even be around in a year or two. Real smart decision.

  6. They need it. They have 22 points to make up on us since last year's utsa defense couldn't stop us.

  7. I’m really looking forward to watching Mason get some more playing time which should happen in their preseason games on May 31st and June 3rd. The first one is against the defending champions so it will be a good test. He will know the playbook as well as the nuisances of the cfl game. He looks very confident and ready to go.

  8. So proud of our ladies. With a team made up of mostly sophomores, I can't wait till next year.

  11. Great venue. If you are a golf fan and have never been to Colonial, go. Munoz and Ortiz and both in the field.

  14. I've seen some 7th Grade teams use the large Youth ball and some use a NCAA ball. Take the one that fits him best now, since that will allow him to best use the mechanics that he will be taught

  18. It is amazing to me that top P5 coaches don't burst into flame when they complain money is ruining the sport. Maybe your salary of $10 million a year had something to do with that, Coach Saban.

  19. Fast twitch. I love his quickness but I need to see his straight line speed at this level.

  20. I don't disagree. People need to tap the breaks and remember we did lose some proven players to the portal. But I'll add some context to the Gunnell situation. Memphis fans love this kid. They said Gunnell was on his way to being their guy until an injury sidelined him. Henigan came in a earned the starting spot while Gunnell was working his way back. From what I've been told, Gunnell is completely capable of being a premier QB in the AAC for UNT.... if his injuries are behind him. Now, does UNT have someone that can be a Harrell type QB coach for Gunnell? I don't know.

  21. Thanks for posting. Need regular reminders of how fortunate we were to have that guy as the face of our program while we did.

  24. Fine should go to the USFL, because right now he is a backup to one of the league’s if not highest paid player Cody Fajardo.

  27. Thanks! I can’t imagine that Faulkner would be an option at Devil (or any DB type). Honestly I hope Faulkner isn’t an option anywhere. He was overmatched at Eagle and at safety. Good kid and worked hard but just a step too slow for this level.

  32. Makes me sleep well at night knowing $40 billion of our tax dollars are supporting a war instead of helping actual Americans. All democrats voted for it (except for those that chose to abstain). Those sweet Lockheed/Northrup Grumman/Raytheon kickbacks are just too enticing, even for the commies.

  33. https://www.actionnews5.com/2021/09/09/tigers-gunnell-set-surgery/ Reports were that Gunnell was running with the 1st huddle before he injured his Achilles. Henigan had an amazing true freshman season. There is a huge margin between Henigan and what we have been rolling out. Not that hard to see him falling in between there.

  34. Ok so without any question Gunnell is the top rated and top performing at the highest level QB we have ever had here. The fact that we have fans trying to discuss scenarios where he would not come in and immediately start just blows my mind. Guys, Gunnell is our day one starter period! There is no question and I promise you he absolutely did not transfer here for any other reason. Littrell needs to stop with the bullshit around who is the guy. He's been playing that game the whole time he's been here and it's not fair to the kids who come here to play QB. A great example is Kason Martin, he should have never been told that he had a chance here to play. Name your day one starter and be honest about it. The players, parents and fans appreciate honesty.

  35. With the addition of Latrell, what are the chances of an empty backfield with 4 wide? We are now stacked with talent in the receiver room! On paper the qb and receiver group are the best that I have seen at UNT! I believe the future in these positions will be the transfer portal and not HS.

  36. Q. @mousetown wants to know: What do you think of Jay Bilas’ assessment of the pushback by college coaches against unregulated NIL deals? It like he thinks there should be no rules at all. A. Bilas is a typical ESPN social activist, mixing politics withy sports. He and a lot of others in the national media, along with some fans think this is all about collegiate athletes making as much money as possible and any attempt to regulate NIL deals is an infringement on the rights of college athletes. He needs read the Supreme court ruling on NIL. It didn’t say anything about boosters forming NIL collectives and throwing wads of cash at athletes to get them to attend a certain school. The supreme court said that college athletes have a right to make their own NIL deals. The ruling was to make sure that once an athlete is enrolled on scholarship at a specific university the NCAA or the school he/she attends cannot control his/her NIL. The NCAA has two basic rules on NIL. The one that is relevant to this discussion states that specific NIL deals can only be offered to athletes after they sign a letter of intent. Most athletics departments have been observing this rule. A few formed NIL collectives made up of boosters and started offering deals to high school athletes or athletes on scholarship other universities. The NCAA announced that it’s going to start going after school that violate that rule. It’s also very likely that NIL collectives are going to be banned by NCAA rule. Bilas and others think the NCAA will get challenged in court on this and lose. I don’t agree. There might be some lawsuits filed but I think they will fail. The true NIL model should be the one in place at Arkansas and other schools. Athletes are taught how to control their NIL by hiring an NIL agent. That athlete becomes an independent businessman. The agent lines up endorsements for the athlete. The school is not involved. read more: https://www.fox16.com/sports/local-sports/softball-bracket-talk-sunday-baseball-blues-the-ncaas-plan-for-nil-abuse/
