....to allow UNT a baseball program as to the likes of 12 of our CUSA members? And don't give me title 9 BS. That all applies to the other CUSA members and SOME HOW, SOME WAY, they're able. . So.....5 points

Tied 6-6 at the end of the first quarter. The set up is much better this year. If they could Justin stager the courts to be more diagonal and drop one more curtain behind the bleachers it would really help with sound. It looks much nicer this season!2 points

When I looked last night and earlier today, tickets were starting at $20. Weird that yours says $25! I attempted to try to find out what seats/row we would be in with some of the different options that pop up to buy tickets, but it was a nightmare if you don't know the seating chart - Once you click to add tickets to your cart, it then tells you what your section, row, and seats are, but the seating map only shows GA for every section, so it's almost impossible to know where you would be sitting until you get to the game. Just my 2 cents for anyone trying to get single session tickets online - Save yourself from confusion/headache and just buy them at the door upon arrival.2 points

Yes... a lot of our facilities are seriously lacking. I would rather see those be brought up to snuff before adding another money drain. Like i would really like to have a football locker room that rivaled at least FAU Also, just asking the question... would you rather see a new basketball/volleyball arena before we got a baseball stadium.2 points

Thanks - I'll be sure to just keep observing from California since season tickets would never get used.2 points

It's pretty much been determined that title 9 is a non issue for us. It's all about the Benjamins.2 points

I agree....all of it! Seriously though, I get the sense that some don’t see it as a priority and even more so see it as a way to divert resources from revenue sports that are barely emerging from almost a decade of losing. In summary, I think some see it as too much too soon. I am not one of those people2 points

Is this an actual program? That host has to be the most uncomfortable person I have ever seen on camera. On top of that, “Isaac” is such a self absorbed know it all that actually knows nothing. Not an embarrassment to our fine university, he just embarrases himself.2 points

I only said no because there was no "wait and see/about the same" option. Honestly at this point the new hires are exciting, but until we see the product on the field I can't say one way or the other.2 points

This is not how capital fundraising works through. There's always a quiet phase before a major launch like you're talking about. During the quiet phase, you put together your feasibility study, specific capital fundraising strategy, identify lead donors, etc. Typically, when raising funds for a capital project like adding baseball, you try to get 50%-75% in the coffers before you go live with what you are suggesting. I'd also be curious if there really is a "growing interest in baseball at UNT." I wonder if there's been a study done? The issue I think we are seeing is that WB sees other capital projects as more important than adding baseball. Just look at the facilities plan he has put together. My guess would be, that right now, he is identifying lead donors for those projects that have higher priorities. UNT can't just keep taxing the students to fund these types of projects. At some point, these funds are going to have to be raised through donations and ticket sales. Keep winning in football and basketball to drive the cash flows up and then things will really take off. He's got things headed in the right direction in those areas. Now it has to be sustained. There's no reason to keep spreading those monies out wider until you are pleased what what you're already committed to. My 2 cents.1 point

Climate change is global Rick. What difference does it make which side of the border those children are living on?1 point

What makes you think previous episodes of climatic change are never considered or discussed? Every geology text and earth history text discusses these in detail. The difference between these earlier episodes and today's is that today the cause is anthropogenic. Which mean we could do something about it if we only had the will.1 point
