They have yet to try an extra point....... which brings up a question.....Why was one not attempted after the "Hail Mary" TD in the UNT game??

Part II: .... I enjoyed SMUt scoring a TD against TCU,.... celebrating... and then getting it called back ... that was mean .. love it. They also got a safety called back ... and ended the game with zero. ... hahahaha

..

So no one one since 1918 has done worse in point differential .... and their 1916 teams holds the record for all time....

They also hold the record for only team with a death penalty ... for cheating financially.

In NCAA, the try is not played on a touchdown that ends a game unless necessary to determine the winner.

Some HS districts do so because of point differentials used to determine playoff tiebreakers. In those cases, if the scored-upon team does not want to play the try, the scoring team is awarded two points.

SMU played a school that did this... AND LOST BY 56!!!

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2212691-tcu-qb-hilariously-fails-to-prevent-safety-penalty-negates-play

SMU lost to a school by 52, and that school's favorite play of the game came when a cadet stopped a player from almost getting in the vicinity of a dog!!!

SMU lost to a school by 37 points even though they had an offense that struggled to gain first downs against UT and La. Tech

SMU lost by 45 to a school who left a qb in the game with a broken back!

it's not looking pretty over near Mockingbird right now
