Big Fish Left to Land

Anyone heard of where we stand with these names?

Corey Clements a 6'8 340 OT He fields offers from UNT and USF last I checked

Jesse Tate 6'6 200 WR Offers from UNT and CSU these are both JC guys

HS players

Caleb Chumley 6'6 225 ATH from Longview Pine Tree Offers from UNT, Houston, LA Tech, Memphis, Mizzou, and New Mexico State I think only 3 worth mentioning are UNT, Houston, and Mizzou IMO

All of my info came from ESPN on offers we still had out. We went after some very big fish in JC guys who are going SEC Big 12 and Big 10. I love that Mac has no fear on who we go after. After all, you never know who we could land.

We have 16 committed(and a grayshirt in Fortenberry I think) and if there is 11 more spots these are the players who I would like to land to round out the class. I have chose to exclude a few uncommitted players who have BCS offers for the sake of realism. I believe we have a shot with any player listed below.

1. CB Dominique Barnett, 6'1 175, Alief, Tx

Great post ntmeangreen11! Would be a great end to our class. I also would like to add a DeSoto defensive back. Either Howard Wilson, La Tech commit, or Nick Orr, or maybe both.

I also don't think we need more than 3 o-lineman (Miles, Fortenberry, and hopefully Beard). We're only losing one this year in Anyiam although we also lost Cody Nelson who quit.

A second quarterback wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either. I have confidence we'll make the most of all these spots.

Dont think we need either of the super tall OTs. Caleb Chumley would be an amazing get! i would really like to get Nehemiah Wagner though (along with Dominique Barnett). that would make our DB class very solid. it's hard to really tell what the unfilled needs of the team are besides the d-line so i'm sure the coaches will fill in the blanks with the players that they need!

I would love for them to load up with Defensive Lineman particularly DT's big bodies who can get after it and young OL who can learn from these JR's soon to be SR's on how winners prepare and practice. Our line is going to be big and physical next year I'd personally like to see them raise some young pups up. Thoughts?

Billy:

Give us some info on Sam.

Here are his highlights.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=haBpun4NNHA

Lefty, probably 5'11" or maybe 5'10". He's a tough kid who delivers a good ball and can stand in and take a hit. Not super fast, doesn't have a cannon, but has put up pretty impressive numbers and looks to be pretty accurate. Not the highest ceiling in the world, but if he stays as accurate as he was in high school then you never know. He's not on scholarship so there's no risk. Hope the kid works his tail off.

Ill take any DE from Dekaney. Good ole East Texas speed and athleticism. I am calling Monday to order my season tickets for next year. I plan on getting club level seats, can anyone tell me after I pay the 500 dollar donation what is left to pay for? I graduated in May and I read there is a discount for alumni who just graduated. Any help would be nice to know before talking with the ticket office.

He's from Dekaney high school in Spring, Texas. A Houston suburb. Very good school though. They won the 5A division II state championship two years ago.

Don't know. Recent alums, graduated 5 years ago or less, are supposed to sit on the same side as the student section. You may have to pay full price if you want to sit club level. Hopefully that's not the case though and you can get your discount.

Club level is a minimum $3100 (or so) donation per seat, then a yearly $500 contribution to the Mean Green Club plus the price of tickets for the year (an additional $250 if I am not mistaken).

May be a but much for a recent grad, but if you can pull it, come on up.
