Mean Green Recruit Class Gets A D Grade

North Texas is struggling to put together a solid roster. This year’s class is doing the team no favors. There is a major gap occurring between the needs of the team and the signees that roll into campus.

Mack Brown can't get it done as a coach anymore and needs to retire. They're starting to lose their game in recruiting as well.

Better not be wishing for that. We need the continued slump to stay that way so that we have a chance in 2014 when we play them next. HOPE that they win 6-7 games this year and still retain Mac so that he is at the helm when we open in Austin in 2014. If we turn things around this year (Bowl Game + ) I can bet that there will be a large green presence in Austin for that game.

Bleacher Report is worthless

Not really, if our band is hyped as the best marching band in college fb, which is generated by a bleacher report ranking

People pan them when they don't agree and quote them when it serves their purpose

As far as this rating, they are probably more generous than the major recruiting services which all have NT in bottom 10, which doesn't even equate to a D unless you don't give out failures.

yet we love then when they rated our band one of the best,if not the best

Who's "we"?

Personally, Bleacher Report's rating of our band, our football team, or any other program we have means nothing to me. I already know the GB is the best band. I don't need someone from the Bleacher Report to tell me that. The Bleacher report is basically a bunch of fans who can write on a website, kinda like GMG.com. Their credibility is close to zero...

But, it's a publication (however shaky) that lists us as the best band, so the University can take it and run with it, and I'm glad they did.

Notice how when the GB was introduced last year as, "the #1 band in all of college football", the source wasn't cited?
