We need a 3-way rivalry between the DFW teams. We can sign a contract that guarantees each team a home game against one of the other opponents each year. Make a trophy for the winner of the series. Get a TV deal to show the games locally. Surely at least one of the local stations could see the benefit of televising local football rivalries over an OxyClean infomercial on Saturday afternoons.

I am on board with that. This will give us two additional home games, we need at least four more.

Unfortunately... it's not that simple.

The SMU/TCU rivalry makes more sense if you wanna have a trophy. If you ask me I think a trophy is pretty lame. My thing is to just have an agreement where NT is playing SMU and TCU on a regular basis. I am not saying every single year but maybe NT can alternate with SMU and TCU every year instead of playing both every year. I think baby steps need to be taken in order for TCU and SMU to get fully on board with playing NT.
