Tennis Team Signings?

Noticed the tennis team is now down to 5 players, possibly 4 if Sara Giles can not get healthy, anyone close to program know if they have signed 1 or more players for the Spring. You can not win matches with only 4 healthy players.

It may be worse than that. Ever notice that the coach does not list the birthday of the girl from Brazil on the roster, while birthdays are listed for all the other girls. If she's too old, they could be down to 3 players, or they could be in deep trouble if they played an ineligible player. Any more to the rumor that RV's contract is not being renewed?

The age issue usually is not a probably with foreign players, the #1 Guy inD1 is a 23 yr old Junior from Germany. The only thing that would make her ineligble would be Clearinghouse issues. she had played 2 yrs of JUCO then appeared to have sat out one year. Also she is new and unfortunately we do not have the best SID/Website guys to update information.

The others have profiles from last year. Still trying to figure out who the new girl is from Peru, she is apparrently good since one of my hitting buddies has played her a few times.

With Lama's experience I will trust he knows what to do, what might hurt him is RV's stance on recruiting foreign players, directly (not counting transfers).

That's crazy; where did you hear that? The BOR and President would not let an AD fire then hire a football coach if they were not going to keep him around. Note: if RV starts wearing all black, then I'll worry that he might be leaving.

anyone have some information on Andrea Noriega? from Peru.

She is listed on the roster on CollegeTennisOnline but not on UNT Site.

Also what happened with Stacy Blair, she played 2 tournaments this fall but is now not on the team.
