OK, sorry I have been an absentee host until this point, but better late than never eh?

I am off both days and will be heading to Ruston on Sat with Cerebus and others.

Sat night the place to be is Blind Tiger for dinner (decent, local grub and convenient to most hotels. After dinner I will be headed to my normal haunt, a bar called Philibusters in downtown Shreveport. I know all the bartenders and the owner by name (is that a good thing?) and if there are enough people interested I will approach them about specials.

Phili's is a great little bar, leather couches, oak bar, cheap beers and the best part is that its in the casino district (open till 6am) and walking distance to the Holiday Inn and other hotels. Its a service industry crowd, so its a better place to hang than much of shreveport.

If you are destined for the boats you are on your own, its not a locals game!! HA! I will advise if anyone has specific questions. Or you can just give me your money and I will smack you and you can go drink some beers with us.

So who is coming? Who is here on Sat night? Who is in for dinner and who is in for Phili's? If I get a big enough response I will call about extended specials (although the drinks are very reasonable)

The other possibility is the Boardwalk (new since your last visit) but not nearly as cool. ITS GOT NO SOUL!!!

Added note... unfortunatly, there is little or NO place in downtown (or otherwise) shreveport for the under-21 crowd. Phili's is 21 and up. Sorry.
