Heisman Ceremony

With all the talk of NIL etc., I was wondering if anyone else caught what Chris Fowler said during the ceremony.  Something to the effect of they were basically professionals.  I could have misunderstood what he said, but that was my takeaway.

Some players will take a pay cut to enter the NFL at the rate it's going.

Didn't watch it.  The last few years, I have had zero interest.

Awards shows in general just never did much for me.  Unless a family member, close friend, or UNT player is nominated, my interest is minimal.
