HUNTINGTON, W Va. — The North Texas men's basketball team beat Marshall Friday night 77-65 on the road for its fourth straight win.

UNT (13-6, 9-2) was led by James Reese who tied his career-high with 21 points. His seven rebounds also led the Mean Green along with Thomas Bell who chipped in 15 points.

"We played our game and did what we do," Reese said. "We emphasize defense in practice and put it first in the game and work our butt off to execute."

Friday's game was a battle between the two highest ranked C-USA teams in the NET.

The win keeps the Mean Green in first place of the C-USA West Division standings.

Marshall MBB Head Coach Dan D'Antoni Post Game Press Conference -- vs. North Texas

I loved this quote "You can't play against James Reese the same way you'd play against a regular player".

James Reese

What I love about this team is that you can’t make your game plan about stopping just one guy.

They mentioned several times during the telecast that Javion is the reigning CUSA player of the year and that he was not playing particularly well.  As it turns out, that doesn’t stop our team because Reece and Bell both put up solid games and we win by double digits.
