What good assistant would want to come with a lame duck head coach?  If they do not make a change at the top, they are not making one at all.

Sadly, it doesn't look like it will be done.  How do these people still have jobs?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!!?!?

UNT, you could have paid me half the price RV does and I could give you those same exact results. I am far more a bargain.

I'd actually prefer this if I had to choose one or the other. UNT doesn't have to choose, though. 

But the whole reason Benford is staying (if he does) is so RV doesn't have to explain another coaching failure. If RV is fired, the new AD will fire Benford shortly after stepping on campus.
