The DMN heard our complaints about forgetting our game last week and is making it up to us by putting a story about Robert Allen on the cover of SportsDay. Not very often we make the first page. In fact, I read the paper every day and can’t remember the last time.

This is why I love Mark Followill. I know it's not the DMN but he is the play-by-play announcer of the Dallas Mavericks and loves his Mean Green. Also several of The Fan radio guys give regular shootouts to the Mean Green since many attended North Texas. Any media attention is great to get.

I have not been super excited with the defensive recruiting. If it was my choice I would have went much heavier in the portal. But there is still time to add player after spring before fall. Like the additions to the secondary from the portal. Extremely concerned that we have not gotten impact players on the DL to this point. It was such a glaring weakness last season. Don’t understand how that wouldn’t biggest recruiting priority behind replacing Rogers.

They were ranked higher because when Seth was HC other P5's came in and offered kids then backed out late as they got other guys and kids keep their ranking. Now with Portal guys aren't getting ranked as much or as high because they aren't gathering the 4-6 P5's once they don't get their guy. I feel like 90% of our HS Signees we would not be able to get prior to the portal. Time will tell, but this class is one of the more dynamic I believe that we have ever signed.

They should start a master brewing/distilling program under the Hotel/Restaurant Management program.

We are slowly stretching our lead. Also, as usual, holding them WELL below their scoring average. I personally LOVE these games where we hold opponents to game totals in the 40s.

Game entertainment doesn’t attract but it does retain. (Most) people don’t see a halftime show marketing and a decide to attend. But if you attend a game and the product is good and the environment is enjoyable, you tend to remember it and want to come back.

And I personally felt like the foul on that 3 was weak. Just don't like teams getting bailed out on weak calls like that. If it's egregious then sure, call it, but it was hard to see the contact IMO and, even though it resulted in no contact, the leg kickout by the FAU shooter made it appear like a flop to me.
