About the same number as after the KFC win. ST said the blame for the FSU loss was shared by everyone. The "man in the mirror" as he referred. Dave Barnett got a new "stylized eagle" cap and Turner Smiley and Jordan Murray were player guests. Both players are smarter than the average bear. Lots of fans. Lots of fun.6 points

At this point they should just push for a medical redshirt.4 points

If you had to use the internet to learn that Kershaw is from Texas...(Highland Park, Texas) then you don't need to watch baseball in the first place. Rick3 points

My son was given two tickets to Homecoming against UTEP, but we won't be able to make it. :( We're hoping to be able to drive out for the Army game, and it's a 15 hour drive for us. We were really impressed with the tickets, though, and wish we didn't live so far away.3 points

Its really been an interesting dichotomy here. Under Dickey and McCarney, our best teams we've had as a FBS program again (since 1995) had hard-hitting defenses and solid special teams, but our offenses were as vanilla as it gets, to the point that if you didn't have an awesome defense, we would win between 1 and 3 games a year. Then, under Dodge and Littrell, our offenses can put up some serious numbers but the defense cannot stop anyone with a pulse at QB. Patterson's teams can do both. But nobody else in this state has shown they can do both, year in and year out. Everyone talks about Saban, Dabo, and Urban Meyer as the best coaches in the country, but Gary Patterson is right there with them, in my mind, along with Chris Petersen.3 points

A high of 60 degrees this Saturday in Denton, Texas, America according to Siri on my Apple 7+ iphone. Damn! That woman is smart! Granted, hours after the game is over it will get much cooler. GAME DAY MEAN GREEN BLACKOUT FASHION WEAR In the spirit of the dress code for this game, I just bought a black sweatshirt at Walmart ($8 + tax) & have a nice black short sleeve Nike nylon shirt with "North Texas Mean Green" in almost fluorescent lime green on it which I will wear over the sweat shirt. I'm getting pumped for what we will all witness with the newMeanGreen of the newDenton GMG!2 points

UNT has rarely fared successful with the NCAA on such matters. I think if he's close to 100% for the La Tech game he should play because we will certainly need him for our bowl. Is it possible we get a better bowl game if we weren't Division champion? We shoot for that honor but golly what if they sent us to the Bahama's as West Division Champion? TCU's Amon Carter Stadium would look very nice filled with Mean Green fans. Filled? We know we get a total different fan base for North Texas bowl games per the HOD Bowl Game in 2013 & 2016. I am still impressed with the record-setting numbers of Mean Green fans for both of those bowls even as they were held on a week day to boot! GMG!2 points

I have no idea where you guys get that ODU will beat us... especially to the score that some of you have. UNT - 42 ODU- 232 points

Photo taken this AM by a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer who has a UNT degree.("not" on the Pulitzer Prize part) This is my Mean Green blackout wardrobe for the ODU game. It should be quite a fashion parade at Apogee this Saturday (I jest) 🙄 coupled with kids 8 & under who get in "FREE" if they wear a Halloween costume. If your still reading this you must be bored but............I went to Walmart this AM, bought an XL black FOTL sweat shirt for about $8. I already had the short sleeve Mean Green Nike nylon shirt and will wear it over my black sweatshirt. Pretty clever, I know. LOL! The Cap? That's my DJ business baseball cap but I'll try to have a black Mean Green baseball cap by Game Time! Yes, Hank. Jr.! I'm ready for some football! BEAT THE HELL OUT OF ODU!2 points

I have followed this team since 1989 and no, my fandom has never wavered. Pardon me for not being sympathetic. I have watched many embarrassing loses to teams big and small. If you want to jump ship, be my guest. Recently however, we have seen good things happen as a result of humiliating loses. Portland State brought about a positive change at the HC position and indirectly a change with a new AD. Great things have happened because the fans/alumni who stuck it out, demanded change, which we got. UNT is poised to go higher than we ever thought possible under this Administration. So, if snowflakes want to bail after one loss and find comfort in the big programs, and have their mommy's bring them cookies and milk before they go to bed, then have at it. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I have no patience with those who haven't the stomach for the fight. See you Saturday night in black. GO MEAN GREEN! Beat the hell outta ODU!2 points

I want to hear "Lane Kiffin and Kid Briles kicked my ass" -- I suppose he hinted at that with the "our jobs as coaches to put them in the right spot". Still doesn't square with me to have had a great week of practice but it not carry through the game. Seems like they simply weren't prepared for what FAU had for them. I thought the reactions after they began to get blown out were bad -- trying to strip the ball instead of wrapping up, etc.2 points

Not sure how our class will breakdown by position or by HS/JUCO, but I would love to see us go after some of the following JUCO's. https://247sports.com/Player/Dantrell-Barkley-46039241 https://247sports.com/Player/Cassius-Peat-30744 https://247sports.com/Player/Charles-Cameron-46042971 https://247sports.com/Player/Azur-Kamara-88011 https://247sports.com/Player/Jonathan-Lolohea-46040120 https://247sports.com/Player/MarQuess-Daniels-46046631 https://247sports.com/Player/Darreyl-Patterson-40247 https://247sports.com/Player/Kendell-Jones-368731 point

My family of six will probably (hopefully) be at the Army game on the 18th. We're hoping to drive from Arizona because my son has UNT Merit Day on Friday and the UNT Preview on Saturday. We would like to all go to the game, and we're hoping that there are decent seats that aren't too expensive. What is the range of prices? Can they be bought at the stadium? How much do really good seats cost? Etc. Thanks in advance for any insight anyone has on this!1 point

How well does Army travel? Should be some good seats over on the visitor side, huh? $12 a seat? Those are fabulous prices!1 point

I'm sure coming back to FW and seeing them ranked in the top 4, while his offense set a record for worst offensive performance ever by a FBS team, probably made him question his life choices pretty good in that stairwell.1 point

Actually, in the past he has said when they had a bad week of practice. Last year he said that several times after a game.1 point

Hey! I'm Mean Green Club member (re-upped 12/16) & didn't get one of those in my email! LOL! Kids (group) promotions who have access to school or church busses would escalate any goal of filling the Wing Zone. Yes, we pay for our tickets but why not fill that Wing Zone with whatever it takes to get kids galore inside our stadium & lets see how many of them become regular ticket buying customers when they grow up. Sure beats the hell out of an empty end zone section staring us down most games. Again per a former AD named Russ Potts: An empty seat cannot buy a hot dog, a coke, a school t-shirt or sweater & for darn sure can't yell for the home team. ____________________________ An empty seat will also never be a future ticket buying fan. Not much good ever comes from an empty stadium seat. GMG!1 point

This would be awful, as we'd likely have to forfeit the game if our entire team has 3rd-degree burns on their scalp.1 point

Got that email too. Going to be tough to get a big crowd to show up with highs in the 50s. Will likely be quite chilly when the sun goes down.1 point

I'll have such an alum at Apogee for the ODU game who was also my college roommate. This will be his 2'nd home game in a row--he's still talking about "The Drive" & didn't even flinch or change his mind about coming to the ODU game when I told him about the FAU disaster. Imagine: If we'd each brought a fellow alum or new fan with us for the UTSA game approximately 40,000 would have been the turnstile count at fabulous Apogee Stadium & the Denton Fire Marshall would have had a major cardiac.
