Texas Football calls out the fake Lonnie finch

You cant compare Gabbert and VY solely on passing stats. VY had over 500 rushing yards as well and 7 TDs his rookie season. Totally different QBs. Time will tell with Robert Griffin. The whole point of this topic was to just show you got some pub on DCTF...didnt mean to ruffle your feathers.

My feathers aren't ruffled, so everything's fine. Guy who wrote the article is a Baylor grad, so I understand now that anyone who disagrees with him about anything Baylor will be irrational...but, not as irrational as taking OTA performance as proof of readiness for a guy who hasn't yet taken a snap in a NFL regualr season game. It's more funny than anything else.

That's not to say Vince isn't culpable. He should have, for sure, nutted up and done everything Fisher and Chow asked him to do. Again, the guy had tremendous athletic talent, but bought his own hype. You can say the same for the other overhyped QB in that draft, Matt Leinart.

Young also fell victim to his own athleticism. Young is the poster child for UT's well-earned reputation of signing top recruiting classes but failing to properly develop them. Some guys are able to out-athlete all the way through college. But there's a pretty hard ceiling for guys who haven't learned the nuances of football once they reach the pro level, especially at QB.
