The first time I saw those uniforms was at Texas Stadium against UTA. I thought they were the greatest thing I'd ever seen.

That was Fry's first season and the uniforms (and shade of green) were quite a sensation. It was also the only season of my four years at North Texas that we came close to have a winning season as we tied for the MVC championship that year.

If I recall, we lost that game by a large margin but had a pretty good crowd.

I can't remember the name of the featured player for North Texas (#82), but I do remember that the featured UTA player is RB Dexter Bussy.....who ended up having a pretty good pro career with Detroit.

That logo is still great. Do we have enough cash in our athletic department to do a "throwback" uniform game the way other programs do? I'd love to see the Mean Green play in Original Worm duds.

Great idea for a homecoming? I'd say so.

Anyone with insider knowledge of the athletic department finances know if we can swing this some sunny day?
