I wonder how DeLoach feels about coaching on a team with this offense?

I would think he'd love it... having an offense that can put 30 or more points on the board every week SHOULD give your defense room to be able to take some risks, lay their ears back and play aggressivly. Having an attacking, agressive D is what DeLoach is all about, isn't it??

To be concise, I recall DeLoach's defenses being about kicking a$$

Same thing. Tomato - tomaaaaaato

They avg. 17 or 18 points last year in the Belt.

My scrimage observations (a little late I know):

The defense has swagger. They were really bringing it and letting people know about it. The downside of that was that they got a pretty good tongue-lashing in the post-game huddle about it. He was very unhappy about the open displays after plays. He was very specific that it was going to stop.

Dodge was also very unhappy about the penalties, as you have read elsewhere.

Dodge also was upset with the defense allowing the early scores. He told them they don't have the luxury of getting warmed up but needed to be ready to bring it from the beginning (I am paraphrasing).

They averaged 23 points in Belt play, and just under 25 points in overall play. I would expect that to increase in '08.

Thank you!!! my point exactly. 30 points (average) is not a stretch for a second year Dodge team.
