North Texas hosted over 60 high school Juniors this last Saturday to watch the last scrimmage of the spring. I was able to catch up and recap the visit experience with some of the top targets present. 

 

Daedrion “Buddha” Garrett

JD: How was your UNT Jr Day Experience?  

 

DG: “Man this junior day was amazing, and it felt very personal and genuine all the defensive coaches came to speak to me and my family.

 

JD: Who Is your main recruiter from North Texas and how often are you hearing from them?

 

DG: “Coach Clay Jennings and I talk the most. We text almost every day and we call each other every other day.”

 

JD: Any other visits planned and timetable for commitment?

 

DG: “ Next week end I’m heading to Texas State for their spring game and I will be committing mid-June.”

JD: How was your UNT Jr Day Experience?

 

JS: “Me and the family enjoyed it everything was well put together staff looks like they are genuine all in all I enjoyed the day.”

 

JD: How often are you hearing from North Texas?

 

JS: “They just recently started getting out to me but I’ve been talking to Coach O for a bit now.”

 

JD: Any other Jr days planned?

 

JS: “At the moment I do not have any more junior days planned”

 

Chris Gant Jr.

JD: How was your UNT Jr Day Experience?

 

CGJ: “It was great man, amazing hospitality, I loved how they got most of the staff to talk to us, and I enjoyed watching the team get after it at the scrimmage. Looking forward to coming back down.”

 

JD: Did you know Coach Svoboda from his days coaching Klein prior?

 

CGJ: “Yessir but I never got the chance to be coached by him but he’s going to go down as one of the best coaches in Klein Collins history.”

 

JD: Do you have any more visits remaining?

 

CGJ: “I’m going to Baylor next weekend, but I plan to schedule some more after that.”

JL: “It was great I loved the energy the coaches give off and the team was fired up!”

 

JD: Are you hearing from North Texas much?

 

JL: “I hear from coach Gary often and most recently Coach Caponi as well.”

JB: “It was cool, UNT has a great staff, I loved talking to Coach Kratch and Coach Caponi.”

 

JD: Any other visits planned?

 

JB: “Yeah this month I’ve been to Air Force, Baylor, Tulsa, MTSU, and I’ll go to army next weekend.”

This is great, JD!  Thank you for sharing. I didn’t realize coaches communicated with recruits on a daily basis.
