And he was almost hired away and got a huge raise and extension.

Look, you have been presented facts about why he could be a good candidate. He might fail here. Another HC might succeed here or fail. Seth might stay and win the AAC or finish last. We don’t have a clue. We can only guess based on past results and those say that Fuente, Brown, or Holtz (or another former HC) are more likely to succeed. All could also fail.

It seems obvious you are digging in on this issue, so I will stop arguing with you about it. But if we fire Seth (and I think we will) my vote is for an experienced HC, specifically one who has guided a G5 program to a championship.

I like Neal Brown. I’d be ok with Holtz too. Ones you didn’t list that I’d at least give an interview to would be Tom Herman, Eric Morris, and Art Briles. I don’t want a coach with an already existing relationship with the AD.

Neal Brown would be great hire, Skip Holtz solid hire who will win to you 7-9 games every year, Tom Herman ok but 1-2 yrs and bolting, Eric Morris solid hire but again is he being spoiled right now at a P5 OC would actually take the current UIW coach over Morris

Man I really agree with you on Brown. He had 3 10-win seasons at Troy and West Va just us in the wrong league and that is a very tough gig.

I also feel like Brown will have been humbled and learned a lot after the experience.  I really like him more than Fuente quite honestly.
