North Texas Hires New Vice President of Advancement - Brandon Buzbee

SO they brought a guy in specifically to tap into our local alumni, targeting "fundraising outcomes"?

"We believe Brandon will harness the untapped potential of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and increase engagement with UNT’s 461,000 alumni."

hmmmm....

How does he feel about all the UNT alumni in DFW, and is there any desire/plan in place to connect them back to athletics?

VP for University Advancement.  Is there an Athletic Advancement team also or same people?  Many years ago there used to be infighting over lists of donors that Athletics was not allowed to solicit.  Probably not an issue now as Neal and Wren seem to work well together.

I have seen him at many events. Very nice guy and seems to do a good job engaging alumni

Yes but remember, he really covers everything not just athletics.  I hope that he cares for athletics or is compensated to do so.  There are a lot of departments fighting for the same money at UNT.  Have been for years.
