New Pro Football League

Noticed two former UNT players were drafted Friday by the Texas Independence of the new Major Football League which will kick off this spring .Antonio Johnson was taken in the 15th round and Marcus Trice in the 40th round. This was the territorial part of the draft , the open draft was to continue Sat. The coach of the Texas team is Robert Ford a former NFL  and college coach.

Good to have some UNT guys playing this summer. I can't find anything about the tv schedule though.

Robert Ford coached running backs for the Cowboys during the Johnson era.

Robert Ford was my next door neighbor when I lived in Coppell during the early 90s.  We played golf a few times...once with Butch Davis.  That was cool.  One night, fairly late, Rich Dalrymple knocked on my door by mistake.  He was looking for Robert's house.  I haven't thought about those days in a long time.  Glad to hear he's doing well.

It looked to me like the cities aren't determined. The teams are named after their coaches (Team Ford, Team Cottrell and so on) on the draft list.

Actually, just looked this up on Wikipedia, here's the list:
