WBB: Denver (1/21/12)

For the second week in a row NT will be in a battle for the Sun Belt West division lead. On Thursday (1/19) Denver must travel to ULM. Hopefully they come to Denton tired. Even if Denver loses that game, they can retake the west division lead with a victory over NT. UALR will also have a chance to be in a tie with NT or Denver after Saturday, but NT holds the tiebreak with them.

Denver is currently #34 in the women's mid-major top 25. NT has dropped off the list.

The game tips off at 5pm, and will likely delay the men's game. Hopefully there is a great crowd in there at the end to see the ladies play!

Does this team always shoot the 3 that poorly? That killed them, as they had tons of wide open looks from distance against that zone and didn't take them. Or missed the few they did.

The 3-point shooting isn't normally that bad. This was a game they should have won. Hopefully they get a chance at redemption in Hot Springs.

Wasn't just the 3. All shooting was bad tonight for the women in all areas. Good defense and hustle kept them in it until late
