Weatherford Back On The Market?

Either way, I'm just excited to see two 3-star quarterbacks in Florida with offers from us! Coach Canales is really doing a job of getting our name out there.

If we start pulling 3-star and better guys out of Florida, FAU and FIU will be glad to see us leave the Belt! To me, it's good enough now just to have our toe in the water.

Based on the contents of the article, it sounds like getting out of Florida might be the best thing for him. I would say go after him. He doesn't need to start immediately, so that will give him time to adjust and prove he has left his problems behind.

Then again, we could decide not to even mess with his potential problems and go after Cooper Jones who is rated the same as Weatherford.

A guy that has 1 offer (Jones) versus a guy who has perennial winning programs who have offered (Weatherford)? Are you kidding?

I'd believe since Canales recruited Weatherford initially that he'd be back on him since his decommitment from USF.

Arrested on felony charges. Multiple school suspensions. Suspended from games. Multiple school transfers. No thank you to Weatherford.

Arrested and being convicted are to different things. He was probably just with the wrong group of people thats why he wants to leave the South Florida area. If the kid can play them why not, its not like we have 3 star recruits coming out of our a**

Frequency = Severity. This guy is a troublemaker. QB is the one position you need to have a solid character guy at. Recruit future inmates for all the other positions, but the leader of your team should be a solid guy. That's how I would build a team. How many great QBs are also great guys? For every reformed Michael Vick, there are dozens of Jeff George's and Ryan Leaf's (making an NFL comparison): Bad guys who have bad careers (yes, I know both of those guys were good in college).
