I was on ESPN....and they had a press release (in their b-ball recruiting area) from Tony Mitchell's mother saying that Tony (a top 15 recruit in the nation according to Sporting News)....has now narrowed his list down to three. Well when I checked out his profile I saw this:

This would be so awesome, but I am not going to hold my breath. I posted a link last week with an interview he did where he said that a big 12 school was in the lead. Apparently a pg that is a mizzou commit has been recruiting him pretty heavily.

I would be so unbelievably happy if we pull off the upset, and get him though. I think that if we get him we will definitely get ross-miller or peters, or figure out a way to get both.

Quick Question: Is he "one and done" good?

2 inches taller...maybe. But he's only 6'6", 6'7" 215, NBA 2-guard size, but Mitchell is projected out as a 4. He'd physically be a tweener on the NBA level...I think he'd be a 3-4 year guy no matter where he signs

That's a pretty good point... BUT. I'd take that.

If he is "one and done good" - You couldn't pick a better year for the team to be more stacked. This year is going to be fun and the team should be good. Real good. But, looking at what we will have next year is going to be even better, especially if he joins the team.

      Glorified Junior Colleges?

      College football has always been a food chain. The problem now is the instant movement allowed every year for players with no sit-out for transfers. Maybe if the Texas Tech's, and other mid-P4's of FBS, start feeling the pain of having star players stolen then more restrictions will happen.

      Wow a sobering statement indeed. This has to be having an energy effect on most programs. Will college football actually become less popular? I mean the power programs say no way, never. I am not so sure about this. It won’t go as niche as golf. But investment works 2 ways. GMG

      From where Jimbo Fisher sits now, after years of coaching high-level college football programs, he sees a clear divide between the well-resourced programs in the SEC, Big Ten and a few other conferences and the rest of the world of college football. He went so far as to allude to certain FBS schools functionally becoming developmental stops. “Here’s what’s happening, all of your mid-majors and a lot of your not-mid-majors, I’m going to say some of your ACC, Big 12, old Pac-12, some of those leagues, they’re becoming glorified junior colleges,” Fisher said. “And some of those teams used to battle for playoffs and have great teams. They took that three-star guy or that four-star guy you missed and they developed him into a heck of a player and he became a great player at their school. And what’s happening, your haves are out there saying, ‘OK, I need a corner and I need a tackle and I need a running back.’ And they’re going to these four-year schools and just selecting, and those guys are really becoming glorified junior colleges, and it’s a shame. I mean great college football programs that have won big in the past and have had tremendously great players.
