Texas-Arlington 68, Arkansas-Little Rock 58

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- Brandon Long scored 15 points to help Texas-Arlington overpower Arkansas-Little Rock 68-58 on Sunday.

Larry Posey added 12 for the Mavericks (3-0), while Jermaine Griffin had nine points and 10 rebounds.

For the Trojans (2-1), Terrance Atkins was 4-of-7 in 3-pointers to finish with 12 points. Steven Moore also added a dozen points for Arkansas-Little Rock.

The Mavericks led by just a point at halftime, but pulled ahead of the Trojans by shooting 52 percent from the field in the second half.

Arkansas-Little Rock had 23 turnovers in the loss.
