Anyone See Wake Forest's Stadium Thu Night On Espn?

Wake Forest hosted Florida State in an ACC game (WF won 24-21) on ESPN Thursday night. Wake's stadium seems like it could be somewhat useable for our new stadium design. Their pressbox/suite area is being redone for 2008 (22 suites, 1600 premium/club seats). The stadium is single level on both sidelines, has an athletic facility like our new one in one endzone, and a nice bowled grass endzone area on the other end for fans on blankets (expandable in future for seats). Capacity: 33,941

Yes, It's a very nice facility and fits well with Wake Forest's image and reputation. Interesting notes about their desire to build more premium club level seats. Personally, on the several occasions that I have watched a game from the club level, I have felt out of the game experience. The free booze and "all you can eat" food are all great, but do not compensate for being in an enclosure while everyone else is having a great time in the stands.

One thing we can never do in Texas is duplicate the great fall climate we (usually) have in this part of the country for watching an afternoon of football. There is something about a chill in the air and the turning of the leaves that makes football even more enjoyable.

The only problem I see with this stadium is that it doesnt look real friendly to expansion. The only place they could easily expand in my opinion would be the grass endzone, but putting any more seats along the sidelines (aka a second deck) would be extremely difficult and probably very expensive.

But on the other hand, I would take this stadium over fouts before you say demolition
