News and notes: UNT has not scored an offensive touchdown in the first quarter of 19 straight games. ... Arkansas State's Reggie Arnold became the first running back to rush for more than 100 yards against UNT this season when he posted 121 yards. ... Junior running back Jamario Thomas rushed for 119 yards after running for 124 vs. Florida International in UNT's last game. Thomas had not posted back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since his freshman year in 2004.
