The replay official has to signal the field refs. Like UT or not, that was an unbelievable game and an even more unbelievable performance by Vince Young. Bush is special, but Young should have won the Heisman.

Also, why would this have been a three peat for USC? LSU won the BcS title two years ago.

Hats off to Texas, because they played a heck of a game. Especially happy for Jim, who has gotta be the happiest guy on this board right now.

For me, though, this one will always have an asterisk next to it, like Ohio State-Miami. To not even review the non-touchdown that sparked Texas... that's just sad to me. I have to wonder how much different this game is if that call is overturned and SC holds them to a field goal on that drive. But we'll never know, because it didn't work out that way.

Again, though. Great win for Texas. Glad to see that we'll start off next season playing the national champions. As Dan Campbell said on the Ticket the other day, it just makes us look all that much better when we take it to them.

So what's the point spread for NT/UT in the September season opener? And now we have to sit thru all the NC hoopla before the game. I hate burnt orange!

Few things live up to the hype, but this game did live up to the hype.

I think the spread on the game is all dependent on if Vince Young is back in a burnt orange jersey next year. If he is, I wouldn't be surprised if the spread was higher than 40.

I didn't think I'd see a better Rose Bowl than last year, but my God... I actually was wondering if I was having a heart attack with about 4 minutes in the 4th.

What a great team USC had. Those guys are the real deal, and I thought Texas was going to lose this game. LenDale White was just punishing the Texas DL, and Leinart was incredible.

What a credit to the Texas defense to stop USC on the fourth down play. I thought the Texas DL might have given up.

Vince Young is the most amazing college player I've ever seen. 4th and 5 from the 8???? SICK!!!

No, but considering the Startlegram reported in 2000 that tU's endowement at $6.8 Billion was second only to Harvard' $8 Billion so it doesn't surprise me.
