He's definitely not over the hill if he wants to coach.  I do wonder how much fire he still has.  Was a solid guy at Notre Dame for a long time.

I think Notre Dame has a few resources for almost any coach to be successful there (except Benford)...

Perhaps.  At the same time they only have one Final Four ever.  I don't mean to downgrade their tournament history, which is nothing to sniff at by most school's measure - but it's also not ELITE either.
