2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl Tickets on Sale Wednesday

DALLAS, Texas, October 14, 2014 - Tickets for the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl go on sale Wednesday for the fifth annual game at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium on the grounds of Fair Park.
This year’s bowl game is set for December 26 with a 12 p.m. (CT) kickoff featuring schools from Conference USA and the Big Ten Conference. The post-season college football game will be aired on ESPN as the previous four games were carried by ESPNU.
Ticket prices for the fifth annual Heart of Dallas Bowl range from $25 for general admission seating to $125 for the chair back seats. Tickets can purchased through the bowl’s web site at http://theheartofdallasbowl.com/general-tix.
With the Heart of Dallas Bowl announcing September 11 a new mission to honor first responders through football. Complimentary tickets are available to first responders and their families via signup at the bowls website - www.theHeartOfDallasBowl.com. These tickets are made possible by generous underwriting from North Texas businesses and bowl corporate partners.
Conference USA will be seeking its third Heart of Dallas Bowl win as the 14-school league will enter the 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl as the defending champions. Last New Year’s Day, North Texas used a 22-point fourth quarter to post a 36-14 win over UNLV at the Cotton Bowl Stadium.
Behind a 532-yard, three touchdown passing performance by Case Keenum, 18th-ranked Houston scored CUSA’s first bowl win, defeating Penn State 30-14 in the 2012 version played when the game was still known as the TicketCity Bowl.
The Big Ten will begin its 119th season of intercollegiate football, and is scheduled to have a fourth team appear in this year’s Heart of Dallas Bowl. In addition to Penn State, Northwestern and Purdue have all participated in the bowl.
The 2014 Heart of Dallas Bowl starts the 85th year of games being played at Cotton Bowl Stadium on the grounds of Fair Park, which features 227 acres of museums, attractions, history, art and performances located in the “heart” of the ninth largest city in the United States.
The Heart of Dallas Bowl is one of 11 owned and operated bowl games by ESPN Events.
