The real outrage should be that political organizations, both Republican and Democrat, are able to gain tax-exempt status. To be tax-exempt an organization should be a church, a school, or a government. Increasing complexity in tax law is part of the problem.

Sorry guys. Busy and just saw this. Was at the girlfriends place in FTW when the storm cane through. The big one hit about 1/2 mile from the house, right off Davis drive in a neighborhood right by the American Legion (for those familiar with G-town). All I got at my house was some wind, golfball sized very intermittent hail, and rain. No damage. Pray for my neighbors, though, as I understand that area is like a war zone, with bodies found no where near the deceased resided. Thanks for the concern.

I'd rather keep the eagles alive and make sure our energy use and carbon emissions low, but between the two, I'll focus more on the carbon emissions. I mean, the Earth is capable of repairing its own environment but like anything, it's got its limits. I don't want to see what they are. I think tech could solve the issue of keeping the eagles away from the turbines. Some sort of high-frequency sound or something that keeps them from the area would probably help, and it's pretty silly that no one in the system has proposed something that keeps them out of the area.

It seemed to work out OK for TCU though. I don't think there's any question that MWC is a step up from the new C-USA. Maybe not if we were to keep ECU/Tulsa/Tulane, but those schools are going to be gone. I think you're looking at it with green-tinted glasses Harry. The MWC tv deal is bigger right? The MWC is much more stable. The MWC has a higher respect level as seen by having the BCS buster school coming from the MWC every other year. C-USA hasn't had a BCS buster. The fact that the president knew about it for a year, yet didn't comment on it until after a Treasury Dept. investigation was set to be released, and even then only when he was asked about it is just so indicative of an administration that is setting itself up to be remembered as one of the most corrupt in history. Libs like Greenbat never fail to entertain. If this was a Republican President and the organizations were NOW or Planned Parenthood, he would blow a gasket. But as long as its his team doing things to the opposition, it's just funny.

FIU and FAU are in the same positions as the non-AQ and non-AAC teams in Texas, from a talent perspective in the high schools. You have to have the right coach who can identify that talent and recruit it to your campus, then coach it to be better. What often happens in these cases is that the AD of those schools comes in and wants their guy or cannot get along with the football coach. Cristobal and Dickey both got fired because they had losing seasons, but also because their ADs couldn't stand them. What happens after that is that the AD thinks he can hire a better fit, but that is a very dangerous move, as evidenced here in Denton. Cristobal turned down the Pitt job, IIRC, but his loyalty to FIU lasted all of one year. I don't see FIU bouncing back all that quickly from making a poor decision like that. Usually, when schools do that, it blows up in their face.

What makes Grant more proven than Armani? Voss was a juco all american I think I read, & the last AA we had turned out pretty good (Tramiel). You could easily start CJ, Walton, TJ, & Jordan in a 4 guard lineup with Vaughns & Alzee off the bench. Throw in a JC All American & I just don't see what the fuss is about? I was just skimming through rosters, it looks like 90% of C-USA teams played either 4 guards or a 6'5 4 man. This looks like the direction we're headed IMO.

I think we can all tell who the negative people are just by their comments.
