  1. I read where Mean Joe was retiring, anyway we get him a retirement gig with the program??? Does he still have a home here??
  2. IP address lol... I only get on here once in a blue moon, but I'm fascinated by the negativity in EVERY SPORT of my alma mater? I got a chance to see Zach almost 50 times because my wife used to teach him (&Julius fwiw), took an interest in him coming here. Really was hoping he did, but you're nuts if you think any of us would turn down the chicks in Tucson. I Got on & was shocked, sad thing is there's only about 6-7 guys that are always making the same argument. Ive met this staff before & seem like nice guys who've had success. DM me and I'll gladly trade information sir. But for the rest of us that have better things to do, like a tee time, go mean green!
  3. What makes Grant more proven than Armani? Voss was a juco all american I think I read, & the last AA we had turned out pretty good (Tramiel). You could easily start CJ, Walton, TJ, & Jordan in a 4 guard lineup with Vaughns & Alzee off the bench. Throw in a JC All American & I just don't see what the fuss is about? I was just skimming through rosters, it looks like 90% of C-USA teams played either 4 guards or a 6'5 4 man. This looks like the direction we're headed IMO.
  4. In all seriousness GreenP, if TM didn't have such a bad reputation for work ethic out of high school than I would understand... But how many times have you heard someone say "all that talent, but..." Kids are smarter than you think, and if they aren't, we're probably better off without em... IMO only of course. I hope he does figure it out, will be fun to see in an NBA uni!!! Rockets preferred hahaha
  5. I would really have to question if the Grant (sp?) kid still held an offer after we got the Wyoming juco forward? Why in the world would we take him? From the looks of it, and on paper at least, the play inside the pit could be fun to watch with all the talented guards. Can anyone recall a backcourt like this in recent memory? I hope everyone stays healthy, because I got to watch TJ & Vertrail in high school, hard to imagine facing a deeper team? Maybe I'm wrong, happened before, but sure seems like a lot of whining going on?!
  6. I think this is a "culture" problem more than anything. I have a daughter who is starting to play a little, so I follow both men & women. I would think the transfers are more with the men than the women because of exposure of the game I would think, could be wrong though. You would think it would be the other way around because my wife changes her mind more than her underwear. Football players often can't transfer because the penalty of sitting out is lost when they redshirt. In golf and other individual sports it doesn't really matter because if you can perform individually, who cares? In basketball, its an epidemic and from what I've read so far, the damage is minimal here at UNT and maybe necessary. Have a buddy who shared this with me today because when we both played, it was so different...probably has alot to do with transfers to, I'm sure this culture change is hard for the coaches as well. In my business, with these attitudes there would be plenty of transfers... http://espn.go.com/blog/dave-telep/post/_/id/3494/the-entitlement-culture-of-elite-hs-hoops
  7. You bet it is...I hope I didn't take your last Turkey Leg...but damn glad I got it before you! jk...Jazzfest always a personal fave...New to the board, didn't expect Jazzfest fans too!
