Houston at 32 and Texas at 28 are within reach if they mess up.

I have doubts that TCU would be favored against North Texas. They are awful this year due to injuries to key players.

TCU is atrocious this year. And I think UH would only be favored by 5 or less. Tech probably double digits depending on the location obviously.

We have a chance to move up some spots. Some Teams ahead of us play decent teams on the road. Im sure most will be underdogs.

I listed all 7 Texas teams to make a point.

That puts UNT at 5th place in Texas.

Only Baylor, A&M, Texas, and Houston are ahead of us in the ranking.

I guarantee you no one thought we would be trailing only those 4 Texas teams.

Houston plays 8-2 Cincinnati this week. Texas plays TT & Baylor. Both are vulnerable.

If we win out, UNT might move up to 3rd or 4th after the bowl games.

Now stop and think about that for a second.

I think the media loves WKU and - despite a mediocre season - Blakeney.

LaLa has taken care of both WKU and Troy and has no bad losses. It's arguably too high, but there is not a lot to hold against them.

SOS is a big toss up to me. I think it holds more weight when you're trying to elevate a ranking, and less if you're trying to hold them down. That is, a Strong SOS will help a winning team much more than a weak SOS hurts a winning team.
