The bowl eligibility situation is weird because technically, by ncaa rules, UTSA isn't eligible since their supposed to be in their second year of reclassification. However, if they win out, and go 7-5, they could go to a bowl if there aren't enough 6 win teams to fill bowl spots. That's what Larry Coker said.

I think Tx St. is bowl eligible. I think last year was their one year of reclassification. UTSA is different because they're a new program, TxSt is not.

Thanks for clearing that up. So chances are big that this is kind of yalls bowl for the year (it is looking quite probable that there will be enough 6+ win teams IMHO. Glad to hear there will be a good atmosphere. The more people come, the better. All that said, there will be no firendship on the field.

Sure are. Just hope we are being curteous while doing it. Thinkin about it, i gotta admit, there might have been better targets for the above post.

So you are saying I shouldn't waive the KFC bucket I will have at the tailgate at every passing UTSA fan?

Although it was ugly, a win is a win...

Kinda like ending up taking a dog to the senior prom, only to find out she gives great head! Lol

All that matters is the "plus 1" in the win column.

This sets up quite the story. "Lowly", "3rd-year program" (most opponents try to make us feel like 3rd-world), that "can't beat an FBS school with a winning record" scrub UTSA now faces a "really good, really strong", "CUSA West favorite" UNT team in a game that has a whole lot of meaning!!

Prepare yourself UNT fan. Prepare yourself.

Actually it's a 200+ Corps Style Marching band. Who have been invited to be feature bands at Bands of America, The Texas State UIL Marching Contest, and the Lead band for the Parades for the 70th anniversary of Normandy. Don't see Y'alls band at any of these events. If anything, SOSA will win halftime for UTSA.

Pick your battles there Snorkel. One school is known throughout the nation for it's musicianship.....and the other is not

I will agree y'all have the best music school in Texas if not the south. Especially your concert and Jazz programs. However ours isn't too far behind, most music dept/schools in Texas blow most of every other state out of the Water. We're the place to go for Music ed in the UT system, whereas Music Performance at UT Austin.
