  1. The time has come for me to say goodbye to you guys... With the game over and done with, the entertainment value of messing with y'all and getting into your heads is gone. Congratulations on a great season! Finish out strong by dismantling Tulsa, and then winning your bowl game. May y'all have a prosperous off-season, landing many of your recruiting targets, and developing your players over the spring! It was fun smack talking back and forth... and just maybe, I'll be back next season leading into the game. Until next time amigos!
  2. I think it only hurts for those recruits that were visiting yesterday (and offered by both schools).
  3. With all due respect, and I'm not being an ass (as the cage rattling and instigating is over for me for y'all this season)... You didn't hand over anything. We took it... the old fashioned way, with hard work, effort, and players and coaches that gave everything they had toward their goal. Because of that, we expect nothing but your best next season, and we look forward to seeing a determined UNT team in SA looking to repay the favor. I'm sure we'll circle that date just the same as you will.
  4. You guys are funny! Lol It's hilarious to watch the meltdown for sure (I've seen several in our short history)... BUT y'all need to calm down and relax. Utsa is a damn good football team. You did not lose to a crappy team, that's for certain. We have been in the top 3 in CUSA offense all year, and a little more hidden than the numbers show... Pretty dang good on defense over the second half of the season. Utsa is a legit contender in CUSA. Save for a gifted td and another lapse just before half against Rice, we'd be undefeated in the division. Our loss to Marshall was an anomaly. We had just come off a game we SHOULD have won (and I'm dead serious on that, go back and rewatch it) against Houston... And the team wasn't focused at all traveling to Marshall. Of all our games this season, that's the only one I see where the real Roadrunner team didn't show up. We gave okie light all we could, and Arizona is another legit team that just took Oregon out today. As good as I think this team is, there is still work to be done. Our sights are dead set on La Tech now. We'll do our part. If Tulane can ride the momentum of a big win today, and do their part against Rice, we will represent our division at the CUSA Championship game... And make no mistake, we will represent the West well.
  5. Awesome... I never once said anything about program comparisons.. All I ever harped on was the team itself. I told y'all this team plays hard and truly cares about being the best they can be. All y'all wanted to do was disrespect and crack jokes. Well, joke's on you this year... Til we meet again next year, friend.
  6. Class act post there Rick... Much appreciation. With UNT fans like you it makes it hard to hate y'all! Where's UNT90 when you need him?? Lol
  7. If there's one thing I've learned following football from high school thru college... You're damn right the players read these threads.. The coaches do too.
  8. I might be one of the few UTSA guys that will ever say this, but I cannot stress enough the importance of Eric Soza to this team. UTSA will lose him to graduation after this season. Even though the team will be FILLED with seniors next season, it may be a bit of a struggle to find a replacement to fill Eric's shoes. He's a special player, and might be sorely missed next season. The qb's in line for the spot next season had better pay attention to all the little things Eric does, whether it's at practice, on game days, or on the actual field of play. Be the difference maker when you have the keys.
  9. No, Rice is. We are Tulane fans now.
  10. I didn't watch it, just listened on iheart radio... But it sounded like our defense snuffed your offense out most of the game, and our offense dominated your defense, especially on 3rd down. Do NOT feel bad about this loss. UTSA is a damn good football team. We kinda lay low for the most part, but can't really lay low after this win. Now we are the biggest Tulane fans you'll ever hear of. GO GREEN WAVE!!! Beat the hell outta Rice!!!!
  11. Not to say I told ya so... But I told ya so. UTSA will fight and fight and fight. There is no quit in those boys. Effort.
  12. As one of the biggest instigators leading up to this game... I want to thank you guys for the opportunity y'all presented UTSA today. All shit talking aside, this was a HUGE opportunity for us, and we definitely appreciate it. Good luck the rest of the season... Finish strong!
  13. I was out at a high school football game tonight in south texas... 47 with a light mist and winds around 17 mph. Basically exactly as it is forecasted to be at gametime in Denton tomorrow. I can tell you this... It was damn cold in the stands... But as I was walking in (moving around), it wasn't bad at all. Actually felt quite good. The players also seemed to be extra frisky. Should be perfect weather and a non-factor on the field.
  14. Weatherunderground is still calling for no precip, 44, and north winds around 15 mph at 2-4 pm tomorrow in Denton.
