Unt's Season Soon To Reach Point Of No Recovery

Mean Green 93-98

"I can't say there's much hope for a victory at FAU next Saturday, and 0-4 is, best guess the hole that will bury this coaching staff as athletic director Rick Villarreal begins scribbling his long list. UNT already has a consultant, Chuck Neinas, compiling a battle plan for the athletic department as it moves forward in an era of conference realignment and arms races.

Neinas also runs a headhunter service for new-coach hires. There's a lot of season remaining for candidates to surface, but one-stop shopping with Neinas at this point makes sense for Villarreal."

I'd like to see former USF Coach Jim Leavitt added to the list.

Too late. :(

I agree. The season is over as far as ability to be successful, and considering the injury situation, there's not much chance that North Texas will be competitive in many of the remaining games.

That being said, I will continue to have a great time cheering for North Texas and whomever is leading our team through the end of the season.

Crushed. That game was decisive. It was a turning point in the Mean Green's season.

It's just not the decisive direction nor the turning-in-the-right direction I thought it could be 24 hours ago.

And the injuries! We're not deep enough to sustain these kinds of injuries and remain competitive.

even if we could aford him, which we can't, why would you hire him or leach or any coach fired for abusing his players? where is woody hayes when you need him?

Abusing his players??? That's just funny. Tech was tired of his act and used that "discipline" situation as an excuse to fire him so they didn't have to pay him 10 million in bonus money that he had EARNED.

A chickenshit move by a CS administration.

I get tired of hearing stuff like this. How did Ohio end up with Solich or UTEP with Price. We can get a big name coach to come here. it isn't out of the question.
