Q&a With Todd Dodge - Part 4

Recommended Posts

Good article and I hope this is the year he realizes the success from his hard work. has he been perfect? No, but who is? He is a good man that represents our university very well and is a good man. I hope he is the coach here for a long time.

Yep. ...and I really, really don't want to root for Devil Fran (who is a lock to be the next coach should we not win 7 this year).

Hopefully The Pirate would have something to say about that.

Putting Dodge's comments in this article along side RV's statements on the podcast about ticket sales and is there any doubt that 7 wins is an absolute?

I just don't think the trigger will be pulled ,if when you throw Clemson and KState out the mix, and we have 5 or 6 solid wins AND we"re in the game until the end with Troy and Middle TN. Sorry, there might be clamoring for his head here, but the people who ultimately make the decision won't make the change, IMHO.

I would think that Neinas will dedicate a segment of his report to our coaching situation and different scenarios. It would be interesting to see who he might recommend, and at what point he thinks a move might need to happen.

Gotta disagree. It's time to start raising expectations

We are in year 4 now and your saying it's okay to just " hang " with fellow conference mates ? This is the Sunbelt , not the SEC. Those 2 are maybe top 50 , not top 10. I think we are past moral victories , especially when it's just Troy & MTSU. No reason we shouldn't be beating these teams by now.

If we do lose to Troy & MTSU , Dodge better go 6 - 0 in all other conference games with 1 OOC victory.

Only way 6 - 6 will cut it is if we beat K state in the finale & RV makes he decision on the high from that WIN

I don't think he can take a job with a state school while involved in a lawsuit with another state school. Besides, he has to keep that "after what Tech did I can't get a job" argument open.

Most lawsuits settle. I think by the end of the season, Leach may be available.
