Not So Fast ( Houston We Have A Problem)

The scheduling of Houston for the first game is a done deal. The atletic department is having to work with Tennessee to change the game with them that was scheduled for that date. Tennessee is willing to move the game to later - 2015 or so - or take a fairly small buy out of the game. This came from a VERY reliable source within the athletic department.

I heard the first home game in 2011 would be the second game of the 2011 season (09/10/2011). Houston opens 2011 hosting UCLA then is shown TBA the second week, as is UNT. It would be like this year; we would play a $$ game on the road the first week (09/03/2011) which is now showing @ Tennessee but I heard several months ago might become @ OU instead, then host Houston the second week.

Geez ... do we need a money game right before the new stadium opener? That'll take the edge off. I'd really rather play a lesser opponent for the first home game - how about a MAC team? If we have to have a money game have it after the home opener.

However ... whatever they decide ... GO MEAN GREEN!
