By BRETT VITO / Denton Record-Chronicle

DENTON – Safety Kartey Agbottah will travel with UNT for its game at Arkansas State on Thursday.

The sophomore suffered a leg injury in the loss to Navy. UNT head coach Todd Dodge said Agbottah's status will be a day-to-day decision. He did not practice Monday. Agbottah ranks fourth on the team with 45 tackles.

Sophomore offensive lineman Tyler Bailey is expected to play this week after missing the Mean Green's loss to Navy with a concussion.

Who was starting in place of Baily? It seems as though the O-line did a great job of giving Vizza the time he needed.

These are the only offensive lineman who played according to the participation report.

67-Rose, Chad

68-Drake, Kelvin

71-Menard, Matthew

74-Venegas, Adam

77-Santiago, E.

Yes, the O-Line played a phenomenal game.

Did any D-Line players play????

P.S. Sorry, cheap shot...but I had to throw that in there... :P

Actually when facing a team like Navy most of the responsibility falls on the lb's and db's. The D-line is just trying to occupy as many linemen as possible.

Agbottah got of to a slow start but it seems as though he has pulled it together as of late.

You hit the nail on the head there... the d line holds up o-line so the linebackers can make the plays. Guess who the linebackers coach is? Haha, Mendo... Run on me all day, no adjustment something or another... I think thats his name.

Chad Rose played Guard instead of Bailey, and during certain packages Victor Gill played Tight End. Together this O line played amazing and gave GV time all afternoon long.

During the off week Rose practiced at the Center position while Drake nursed his high ankle sprain. Then moved over to guard last week.

Chad Rose has been a very solid Mean Green player for this program. Even though he's not starting he's done everything asked of him on the field, all while working on his masters. Talk about someone taking advantage of their opportunities in life. He will be a great represenative of this university as an alumnus and letterman when he's done after this season.
